Just in time for Halloween! Skeletal musicians and dancers twirl around in the ghoulish danse macabre scene in Dance of the Dead Parade (item no. 44732). The traditionally costumed mariachi players and dancers are celebrating Mexico’s “Day of the Dead” holiday. This three-day festival, which occurs at the same time as Halloween, honors friends and family members who have died.
This lively scene is brightly lit so that observers can easily see the detailed figures as they cavort around the sign announcing the holiday.
Not at all impressed with this display of traditional music and dance, a forlorn couple sits on a nearby park bench waiting for a Really Late Train (item no. 42205). Will their patience ever be rewarded with a train trip beyond the grave?
