CANTON, Mass. -- Chances are you’ll hear the latest addition to Lemax’s 2015 Spooky Town, before you see it. Much like the mythical creature the store is named after, Banshee’s Boo-B-Traps, will have your display wailing and moaning with the screech of a night owl. Hear the banshee screams as a cage clamps down on another unsuspecting Spooky Town victim.
Zombies BEWARE! Werewolves BE WARNED! You could be the next capture from the dark side, now that Banshee’s Boo-B-Traps has moved into the neighborhood!
For Spooky Town fans, this one-of-a-kind seasonal figurine might come with a bit of a surprise, as Lemax reveals the creator behind the company’s latest addition. Banshee’s Boo-B-Traps was created by Lemax fan Cassie Hancock, the winner of the “You Name It. We Create It” contest. Held in October 2013, this Halloween challenge saw lots of incredible design ideas. But in the end, it was Hancock’s spooky store that garnered the most social media votes to win the top prize.
“To see my Banshee’s Boo-B-Traps go from concept, to design, to final product is very exciting,” said Hancock. As part of their Silver Anniversary celebration, Lemax will be offering this piece as a special addition to the 2015 Spooky Town collection.
Banshee’s Boo-B-Traps is a do-it-yourself store, for all those hard-to-catch criminal miscreants, like werewolves, zombies, vampires, and evil jack-o-lanterns. Similar to one of today’s big-box stores, this building has everything you need to ensnare those pesky creatures of the night. The main feature is a cage that slams down on a poor, unsuspecting werewolf. Then, the security spotlight zeros in on him with searchlight precision – you’ve been Boo-B-Trapped!
Think of Banshee’s as the one-stop-shop for all your haunted house security needs. Load up your shopping cart with spiked snares, barbed wire, rat traps, and cages. And of course, no Lemax piece would be complete without those delightful sounds, like the howling "No Trespassing" and "I've got you where I want you" threats.
Similar to the rest of the company’s figurines, this unique piece is made with old-world craftsmanship, combined with the new-age technology that Lemax collectors have come to expect. This latest addition will be one of 37 new products in the 2015 Spooky Town collection which will be available in retail stores by August of this year.
But if you can’t wait until then, Lemax is making a special offer. For a limited time, collectors may purchase the Banshee’s Boo-B-Traps through the Lemax website. Online purchases will also include a special collector’s edition "Thank You Card". But act now, as this frightfully good offer won’t be available forever . . . or will it?
