Create a deeper illusion using Facades.

There are many ways to bring a sense of realism to your Lemax Christmas Village, but one of the best ways is to use building facades. These facades look like full building fronts, and while they are only 4.8 inches in depth, they offer the illusion of being much deeper. They make the perfect backdrop to any Christmas village!

This inspiration image prominently features three building facades from the Caddington Village collection, which evoke an incredible nostalgia for the cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways of Victorian Era England.

The first of the three facades, from left to right, is Ye Olde Cobblestone Road. This facade features three local family businesses including a chocolate shop, Belle’s Bon Bons, a rustic cheese shop, The Cheese Wheel, and then hidden down the center alleyway, Nick’s Craft Beers. For each storefront, we see a lighted window display, including a couple of locals enjoying a few pints in the upper window above the bar. The building also features an eclectic variety of quirky rooftops that add to the vintage feel of the building.

The second facade is the River Moors Christmas Street Festival. This Tudor-style lighted building has the old world Christmas feel that many are looking for in their village. At street level, the facade has a hot beverage stand, serving hot cocoa and sticky taffy. There’s also a gift shop selling toys and plants. On the upper level, you’ll see a variety of colored window shutters and Christmas decorations that evoke the feeling of Christmas!

The third facade will impress the music lovers in your family. The Music Corner building, decorated with blue and violet accents, is a one-stop shop for everything musical! It most prominently features an instrument shop, with stringed instruments in the window, and a guitar academy with a lesson in progress. You can also see signs for violin lessons, music recitals, and a variety of musical notes hanging on the building.

Of course, what truly brings this village to life is the variety of characters and figurines enjoying the Christmas season. These include figurines like New Holiday Hats, Off to the Library, Lamplighter, Sign Painter, and more!
