A Dickens Era
Your Lemax Christmas Village can take many forms, and that’s part of the beauty of being a collector—each village will be totally unique.
If you’re looking to give your village a sense of nostalgia, why not throw back to the Dickens era?
This beautiful village display is rife with Christmas cheer, as we see villagers preparing for the holiday season. The main showpieces are two traditional English buildings: The Old British Pub and The Village Post Office. In the background, we also see the elegant New Hope Parish Church. These buildings are a great way to root your village in the traditional elements of Christmas—gathering together as family and as a community.
The village is accented with a variety of delightful figurines, most prominently the Rolling Readers table figurine. This features a horse pulling a buggy full of library books, and a man delivering a brand-new book to villagers. The scene features other figurines like the Nanny pushing a stroller, the Handmade Wreaths stand, and Peace and Quiet.
Add some realism to your scene with a collection of trees and a spattering of fake snow. With all these details put together, you’ll truly be taken back to old Victorian times in England!
