In the snowy hills of Vail Village
While we all love cozying up inside by the fire (and our Lemax villages!) at Christmastime, one of the best parts of the holidays is spending time with your family in the snow outdoors.
Our December Lemax Inspirations post takes us to the snowy hills of Vail Village, where families are enjoying each other’s company in the snowy ski hills.
Taking a tour of the buildings in this mountain town, we first see Our Tiny House at the far left—a cute Northwestern-themed tiny house. At the center is the Cabin Canteen, which sells hot coffee to chilly skiers. And on the far right is Pine Peak Retreat, a warmly lit wood cabin where skiers can retire for the night.
Perched atop the village’s hill is Pinewood Springs Chapel, a snow-topped wood-cabin church that’s all decorated for the holidays.
And don’t worry, even though you’re on vacation in the mountains, Santa will still find you, as he’s flying in to our scene (Santa Claus is Coming to Town).
Scattered between these buildings are the highly active visitors. We have skiers (Coming Through), snowshoers (Snowshoe Family and Snowshoe Walkers), and sledders (Family Snow Day and Toboggan Trouble) enjoying the slopes!
And it wouldn’t be a winter scene without a few snowmen, including Frosty Frolic and the Dapper & Debonair Snowman.
When you’re building a wintery scene, don’t forget to include an assorted collection of pine trees. The more variety you have in the heights of the snow-sprinkled trees, the more realistic your scene will be!
