by Lemax | May 30, 2015
New for 2015 Lemax Holiday & Christmas Collections

Step back in time and feel the magic of a Victorian Christmas with the new additions to Lemax’s Caddington Village, part of the 2015 Holiday new releases.  A favorite among collectors, the charming Caddington Village Collection captures the elegance of days gone by. And like collectors from around the globe love to add to their special displays, so will shopper’s flock to step into the new Holiday Hamlet Christmas Shoppe (item #55026). Step into the “World’s Largest Christmas Village Selection,” reads the sign, as Santa Claus calls in shoppers, “Welcome! Welcome!” Don”t miss the ornament sale! An upbeat version of “Silent Night” provides the holiday sounds as white doves and trumpeting angels harken the season’s special songs, circling high overhead.

For longtime collectors, the Caddington Village collectables is where it all started. As Lemax’s first village Caddington is still a runaway favorite with fans.  From soaring cathedrals, like the new Hyland Valley Church (item #55927) and old world pubs like Ye Olde Tavern (item #55904), the 2015 Holiday Collection has something for everyone. Harkening back to a time of sophistication and refinement, The new Caddington Village includes a variety of choices to add richly costumed figurines, like the Rural Victorian Family (item #53229) or the Nanny Outing, Set of 5 (item #52334). With 165 new pieces to chose from the Lemax 2015 Holiday Collection has something for every collector’s Christmas display.

America’s favorite holiday story comes alive in this Christmas collectable, Twas The Night (item #55922). Spy Santa Claus through the window, as he fills the “stockings hung by the chimney with care.” Hear the reindeer hoofs high atop the roof as Ma flings open the shutters to see what was the matter.” Down below the children are fast asleep as “visions of sugar plums dance in their head.” This classic Christmas story piece will become a favorite among Lemax collectors once they experience the top-of-the-line LED light display as “Jolly Old St Nick,” provides the musical accompaniment as the narrator recites the famous poem.
When you think about the holidays, doesn’t a snowy mountain scene come to mind? Well, that’s just what collectors will find in the alpine setting of Vail Village. With ruggedly constructed buildings like the new Snow Peak Lodge (item #55924), visitors will find themselves gathered around for a snowy BBQ (item #54931), or a Tailgate Party (item #53212), or a playful Snowball Ambush (item #53216). Representing the fast pace of an active outdoor lifestyle, the 2015 figurines include Sledding with Dad (item #52329), a Snowshoe Family (item #52336) and a Ski Trip, Set of 2 (item #52345), which will be the first stop before heading off to the Sugar Pine Ski School (item #55940). Made of rough cut logs, heavy stones and thick pine planks the Mountain View Lodge (item #55937), Carl’s Cabin (item #55938), and Antler Peak Cabin (item #55939) are all perfectly suited for the town’s natural terrain and winter weather.

New this year, will be will be a collection of sit-down figurines, a direct request from collectors, and being fulfilled as part of Lemax’s continued commitment to fan-based interaction through its website and various social media platforms. For longtime collectors, the ability to move figurines within a village, or perhaps to another display all together has been a suggestion that made the Lemax design team sit up and take notice. The result is a variety of new accessories and figures.
